Annual NSF EPSCoR State Conference

Oklahoma EPSCoR sponsors an annual state-wide conference for the NSF Research Infrastructure Improvement Award science theme area of climate variability.

A plenary session is offered to spotlight keynote speakers who are recognized as leaders in the climate variability research field and/or individuals who support climate variability research in the state.

Breakout sessions highlight scientific presentations and discussions among faculty, student and industrial researchers that focus on the designated research theme area, as well as current state and national trends in the field.

A scientific poster session spotlights researchers’ progress in the climate variability.

Climate variability investigators from Oklahoma and nearby states, EPSCoR external advisory board members and program officers from federal granting agencies are invited to attend.  There is no cost to participants, but registration is required.

The goals of the Annual NSF EPSCoR State Conference are:

  • Facilitate interaction among climate variability researchers
  • Provide a forum to discuss national research trends and funding opportunities
  • Establish a foundation with potential regional partners, so researchers may increase collaborative research and proposal submissions
