OK Museum Network - OK 4-H Leader Training Collaboration

Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement Award No. OIA-1946093

Through this Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR-sponsored train-the-trainer style program, the Oklahoma Museum Network will develop and present workshops for 4-H leaders (2020-2023). These day-long, hands-on learning labs will provide participants with the tools, models, and strategies needed to create engaging STEM experiences to benefit the youth who participate in Oklahoma 4-H STEM programming.

4-H leaders will assume the role of scientists and engineers, investigating new phenomena and finding their own innovative solutions to real-world problems. This hands-on approach to professional development will give participants the chance to develop a deeper understanding of science and engineering design practices while experiencing the positive aspects of failure, true discovery-learning, and group collaboration.

Each workshop participant will receive a kit of ready-to-use activity materials, an in-depth activity guide, and access to ongoing support and development resources.
