SBIR/STTR Workshop
Get Your Share of $2.5 billion for High Risk Innovative Projects!
What:
This workshop equips you with the skills needed to write a winning SBIR/STTR proposal. Each year the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funding programs award approximately $2.5 billion in funding to small, high-tech, innovative projects.
In December 2011, the SBIR/STTR program was reauthorized through 2017. This workshop provides a concise overview of the reauthorization implications for the SBIR/STTR program and discusses the implications for proposal strategy and preparation. Day one covers the Phase I proposal preparation process, emphasizing necessary new activities to reflect the authorization changes, and wraps up with a similar assessment for Phase II proposals. Day two focuses on the cost proposal. A major message in the reauthorization is that proposers and awardees need to understand government accounting and comply with its rules in their cost proposals and record keeping.
