OK NSF EPSCoR S3OK Annual State Conference

Tuesday, May 25, 2021 - 9:00am - Wednesday, May 26, 2021 - 5:00pm

The first Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR Socially Sustainable Solutions for Water, Carbon, and Infrastructure Resilience in Oklahoma (S3OK) State Conference will be held May 25-26 via the Zoom platform. A diverse group of researchers and stakeholders from across the state will highlight S3OK's research progress during the two-day meeting.

The OK NSF EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement Award No. OIA-1946093 (2020-2025) is a social science-led, multi-disciplinary collaboration among social, physical, biological, engineering, and computational scientists. More than thirty researchers from Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma, University of Tulsa, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Langston University, East Central University, and Noble Research Institute are working together on the $20 million NSF EPSCoR project, which began on July 1, 2020. Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education will provide $800,000 annually in matching funds during the five-year award.

The research team is working to develop and test science-based solutions for complex problems at the intersection of land use, water availability, and infrastructure in Oklahoma. Learn more about the research project.
