General Poster Session Information

The poster session is open to all student, post-doc, and faculty researchers who are presenting research that addresses the S3OK research themes of shifting sub-seasonal to seasonal weather patterns; wastewater reuse; carbon sequestration via terrestrial processes; increasing wildfire threats; resiliency of water, electric, and transportation infrastructure; and related social dynamics. Judges will review students' poster presentations.

The poster session will be held during both days of the event, with participants assigned to present during one of two sessions: Day 1 or Day 2 will be assigned to presenters based on focus area and poster registration numbers. Presentation assignments will be determined by conference organizers after registration closes. All posters will be on-view and remain set up throughout the event, however. (All posters must be set up by 9:30 a.m. on Day 1.)

Space constraints may limit the number of poster abstracts that can be accepted. Student presenters will take precedence.

Special Judged Oral Presentation Session

The Special Judged Oral Presentation Session will spotlight ten students’ research on the S3OK project by delivering a five-minute oral presentation to conference attendees and judges during the conference. EPSCoR Student Executive Board members will select ten Oral Presentation Presenters through an abstract review process*; two presenters will be chosen from each of the S3OK subgroups (i.e., SD, SI, S2S, TWCD, and VWQM). (*Board members will abstain from making selections within their own subgroups). Presenters in this session will only be S3OK students. Further, students selected to present in the Special Judged Oral Presentation session will not be required to present a poster.

If you have questions about the poster or oral presentations, you may contact one of the session coordinators by reaching out to Taylor Grace at taylor.m.grace-1@ou.edu or the board member representative from your subgroup for further clarification.
