OK NSF EPSCoR Professional Development Seminar Series

ABOUT THE SERIES
Faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and university students interested in pursuing a career in research are invited to participate in the Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR Professional Development Seminar Series. Our spring 2022 seminar, “Grant Writing 101,” has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, from noon to 1:00 p.m. (Central Time). The meeting will be presented via Zoom by Devon D. Hill, Tier 1 Research Initiative Grant Writer at Oklahoma State University. Meeting login information can be found at the bottom of this email.

The OK NSF EPSCoR Professional Development Seminar Series is designed to enhance researchers’ professional growth by addressing a broad range of timely and relevant topics, including diversity, mentorship, developing new PIs, interdisciplinary and team science, and more. The series supports researchers at all career levels, from students to endowed faculty; institutions across the state are encouraged to participate.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Devon Hill currently serves as the Tier 1 Research Initiative Grant Writer at OSU. In this role, she supports the university’s “Grand Challenge” research groups as they develop and write federal and foundation grants; Devon’s proposals have brought over $20M in research funding to Oklahoma. From 2018 to 2020, Devon served as the OSU A&M System Grant Writer, where she supported five institutions in their institution-level and programmatic grants. Prior to joining OSU, she worked overseas as the Research and Proposal Officer at the University of St. Andrews and Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. Devon also has experience in the private sector, where she worked as a Proposal Manager and Market Research Manager. Attendees of the May 11 seminar will benefit from Devon’s breadth and depth of experience in the grant-writing arena!
