Oklahoma EPSCoR invites
you to participate in the annual virtual science fair. This
year the Virtual Science Fair is Wednesday, April 13, 2005.
This science fair allows students from all over Oklahoma to
showcase their science project in a statewide science fair
without leaving their schools utilizing the Internet2
technology. The science fair will be judged by a quality panel
of Oklahoma scientists. This is an exciting opportunity to
not only showcase your projects but also to participate in
a technology groundbreaking event.

Who? You! Any K-12 student in the Oklahoma school
system is invited to participate. However, you must have access
to H.323 videoconference equipment.
There is a limit of two students per school
to participate.
What? What do I have to do? Develop a science project
just as you would for any other science fair but you will
stand in front of a camera (videoconference equipment) from
your school while other students throughout the state will
be at their schools. The judges will also be located throughout
the state.
When? The Virtual Science Fair will be held on April

How? First, check with your school's technology coordinator
to see if you have access to the technology. Schools must
have access to IP (H.323) codec videoconference equipment
to participate.
Prizes? Everyone who participates will get a certificate
of recognition and first, second and third place award winners
will receive a trophy.
