Software Carpentry Workshop: OU

Tuesday, May 19, 2015 - 9:00am - Wednesday, May 20, 2015 - 4:00pm

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Oklahoma EPSCoR, along with other partner agencies, is sponsoring Software Carpentry workshops for the OU and OSU communities. The full, two-day workshops will cover basic skills of the UNIX command line, Python programming, and Git and Github.  Attendees will learn via a "type-along" approach that is designed to help learners become more comfortable with using their computers as powerful research aids.

Attendees must provide their own laptops; organizers promise to make sure attendees leave with all of the workshop's open source software installed on participants' personal computers.
