Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR Student and Post-Doc Discussion Group

Monday, November 16, 2015 - 3:00pm - 4:00pm

The Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR Student and Post-Doc Discussion Group is a newly established program designed specifically for EPSCoR students (both undergraduates and graduates) and post-docs. The group will meet every other week during school semesters. The purpose of the group is to:

  • provide students and post-docs with opportunities to engage in scientific discussions about relevant articles on socio-ecological systems with other EPSCoR-project participants
  • learn to communicate science effectively
  • build professional relationships with people in various disciplines

The leader for each meeting is decided on a volunteer basis; leaders are responsible for choosing the article to be discussed during their scheduled week.

Meetings this semester will be held in person on the OSU campus from 3-4 pm. Skype will be available for those participating from off-campus. Meeting details are sent out via email prior to the event.
