Kiamichi River Watershed Stakeholder Meeting

Monday, October 16, 2017 - 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Registration Deadline: Mon., October 9, 5 p.m.

The Kiamichi River Watershed Stakeholder Meeting, which will be held Monday, October 16, 1:00-4:00 p.m., in McAlester, Oklahoma, is a follow-up to the Kiamichi River Watershed Research and Extension Symposium that was held in June of last year. The 2016 Symposium brought together Oklahoma academic researchers and representatives from state agencies and Tribes to discuss current research and extension efforts in the Kiamichi River Watershed and to develop a plan for future efforts based on the diverse needs of the various stakeholders in the region. This Stakeholder Meeting will bring those parties together again, to follow up on the developments that grew from that first Symposium, including the Kiamichi Landscape change model. Attendees will also discuss future scenarios to help analyze watershed issues.

The event will be held in the meeting room of the Holiday Inn (1811 S. Peaceable Rd.), in McAlester. Registration is free but required.

The project is supported by the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research and NSF grant number OIA-1301789.

Registration for this event is closed.
