More about the Event

Agency and Tribal representatives will outline their Kiamichi River Watershed activities during ten-minute oral presentations, while researchers will share their progress in the area during a poster session to be held during the event. A key focus of the symposium, the round-table discussion session, will allow symposium attendees to work together to outline future research and extension needs for the area, ranked by importance collectively by the group. The information, to be made available online after the event, will provide direction for future research and extension efforts in the Kiamichi River Watershed.

In addition to supporting the research and extension efforts of this important watershed, the symposium aims to foster new, long-term collaborations and partnerships between academic researchers, state agencies, and Oklahoma Tribes that will enhance future research and programs.
